China's Humanoid Robot Startup Sunday Raises $165 Million in Series B Funding
NextFin News -- China's humanoid robotics startup Sunday has raised $165 million in Series B funding, with a post-money valuation of $1.15 billion. Upon the completion of the funding round,  the startup joined the ranks of unicorns. This round of financing was led by Coatue Management, with participation from Tiger Global, Benchmark, and Bain Capital Ventures. Founded by Stanford-educated PhDs Tony Zhao and Cheng Chi, Sunday focuses on developing household robots. The company recently launched Memo, a robot designed specifically for home environments, aimed at performing household tasks such as cleaning, organizing, and making coffee. Sunday has also opened applications for its "Initial Home Testing" program, with plans to deploy Memo for early testing in 50 households by the end of 2026.
