General Purpose Robots Set to Enter Large-Scale Deployment in 2026: AgiBot Co-founder
NextFin News -- Shanghai-based robotics startup AgiBot rolled off its 10,000th general purpose embodied robot from the production line on Monday, just over three months after the production of its 5,000th unit.
At the rollout ceremony, AgiBot Robotics co-founder, president, and CTO Peng Zhihui said that general purpose embodied robots will accelerate into the phase of large-scale deployment in 2026. He emphasized that "scalability is not about whether we can perform certain actions, but whether we can work continuously for 24 hours in a factory."
