Tencent-Backed Missfresh May Seek Up to $1 Billion US IPO
BEIJING, April 7 (TMTPOST)— Missfresh, a Chinese fresh food e-commerce startup backed by Tencent, is working on preparations for a US initial public offering (IPO) that could launch as early as this year, Bloomberg quoted people with knowledge of the matter on Wednesday. The sources said Missfresh could raise as much as $1 billion and signaled the target IPO size may change, since it hadn’t made decision on deal size or timetable. The latest funding is said to bring the company a valuation of about $3 billion.
