Huawei Unveils HarmonyOS2-Powered Phones and Tablet
BEIJING, June 2 (TMTPOST)— China’s telecom giant Huawei released Harmony OS2 and unveils its multiple new products including new version of HUAWEI Mate 40 and Mate X2, HUAWEI WATCH 3 and HUAWEI MatePad Pro, all of which are powered by the latest version of its own operating system. Compared with the original version announced in August, 2019, Harmony OS2 expands the serving scope from Internet of Things (IoT) devices such as smart home equipment to smart phones, smart watches and tablets. Huawei introduced that Harmony OS2 will come to older phone models such as Mate 9 and Nova5 in the first half of next year and it plans to upgrade system of 100 older phone and tablet models, including HUAWEI Mate 40 series, Mate 30 series, P40 series, Mate X2,Nova 8 series and MatePad Pro series. Huawei said its next flagship phone P50 would get Harmony OS2 backed as well but didn’t reveal details about it including release date.
