Local Government in China Subsidizes Farmers to Buy Urban Home
BEIJING, September 26 (TMTPost) – Lixin county government in central China's Anhui province has introduced a dozen measures to stimulate the sagging housing market, according to the account of the government on Weibo, China’s equivalent of Twitter.
The measures, which are effective from September 23, 2023 to the end of 2023, include a 50% cut in purchase taxes, purchase subsidies and lower mortgage interest rates.
Local farmers can apply to the government for a purchase subsidy up to 10,000 yuan (about 1,400 USD).If a buyer holds a bachelor’s degree, they qualify for an subsidy of 30,000 yuan (about 4,200 USD).
