BEIJING, February 7 (TMTPOST)—Zhang Nan, the current CEO of Douyin Group, announced her resignation from the position and will concentrate on the development of Capcut, an all-in-one creative platform for video editing and image design. Zhang joined ByteDance in 2014 and led the team to launch products like Douyin from scratch in 2016. Insiders familiar with Capcut revealed that in the past year, Zhang has shifted her focus to Capcut-related business and led the team to seek breakthroughs in AI-assisted content creation. After Zhang's resignation, the company has no plan to appoint a new CEO, said sources close to Douyin Group.
