China's CPI up 0.1% in March
(AsianFin)—China's consumer price index (CPI), a main gauge of inflation, edged up 0.1% year on year in March, official data showed Thursday. On a monthly basis, the CPI went down 1% in March, said the spokesperson of the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Wednesday. The core CPI, deducting food and energy prices, went up 0.6% year on year in March, maintaining a mild increase, according to the NBS.
