TMTPOST-- TSMC Chairman Mark Liu said that the company's power consumption is projected to account for approximately 8% of Taiwan's total electricity usage in 2024. He shared the estimate at a shareholders' meeting on Tuesday. Liu noted that TSMC's power consumption is expected to rise to 11-12% by 2030. However, he emphasized that TSMC's contribution to Taiwan's economy is also increasing in tandem with its energy usage.
