Tesla Has Massive Inventory of Unsold Cars
TMTPOST -- Tesla's first-quarter report showed that it produced 433,371 cars in the period, but only sold 386,810. This means that 46,516 cars were left unsold. In order to store the unsold cars, Tesla chose to stack them all in parking lots, and the quantity is so large that it can even be seen from space. In response, Tesla's Chief Financial Officer Vaibhav Taneja stated that the main reason for the increase in inventory is the mismatch between production and orders.
