Over 8,000 Chinese Companies Established in Dubai
TMTPOST – The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry has reported that more than 8,000 Chinese companies have established a presence in Dubai, with around 5,400 of these firms now registered as active members of the Dubai Chamber. The announcement was made during the Dubai Business Forum China held in Beijing.
Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah, President and CEO of the Chamber, highlighted the Dubai government’s efforts to streamline business setup procedures and offer incentives for foreign investors. Dubai boasts over 20 free zones catering to specific sectors such as technology, media, finance, logistics, healthcare, and manufacturing. For technology entrepreneurs, Dubai has developed a supportive ecosystem with investment and financing opportunities, as well as numerous accelerator and incubator services.
Lootah noted that Dubai is recognized as a major hub for foreign direct investment (FDI), having attracted 1,070 Greenfield FDI projects last year, valued at $10.7 billion. The city's appeal to Chinese investors continues to grow, with Chinese investments in Dubai reaching approximately $5.4 billion from 2015 to 2023, according to data from the Dubai FDI Monitor.
