TMTPOST – IBM has confirmed that it will be shutting down its research and development department in China, impacting more than 1,000 employees. In response to concerns about the layoffs, IBM China said, "IBM will adjust its operations as needed to provide the best service to our clients. These changes will not affect our ability to support clients in the Greater China region."
