Japan's Space Agency to Launch H3 Rocket No. 4 in October
TMTPOST – The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) announced plans to launch the H3 Rocket No. 4 on October 20 from the Tanegashima Space Center in Kagoshima Prefecture. The rocket will carry the Ministry of Defense's X-band defense communication satellite, "Kirameki-3." The launch window is scheduled between 3:42 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. local time. If the launch is not possible on the scheduled date, the next window will be from October 21 to November 30. The H3 rocket, a two-stage liquid-fuel vehicle developed by JAXA, achieved a significant milestone in July when Rocket No. 3 successfully launched the "Daichi-4" Earth observation satellite, marking the first successful deployment of a large satellite by the H3 series. Previous launches include Rocket No. 1, which failed in March of last year, and Rocket No. 2, which successfully launched a mock satellite earlier this year in February.
