SK Hynix Develops Sixth-Generation 10nm-Class DDR5 DRAM
TMTPOST– SK Hynix has announced that it has successfully developed the world's first 16Gb DDR5 DRAM using sixth-generation 10nm-class (1c) technology. The company plans to complete mass production preparations by the end of this year and begin supplying the product in 2025. The new 1c DDR5 DRAM will primarily be used in high-performance data centers, boasting a speed of 8Gbps—an 11% increase over the previous generation. Additionally, energy efficiency has been improved by more than 9%.
