TMTPOST--Samsung Electronics has recently informed employees in its China division about upcoming layoffs and is soliciting "voluntary departures," according to reports. It is anticipated that the layoffs could affect around 8% of its regional sales staff, approximately 130 out of 1,600 employees. In response, Samsung Electronics China said that the layoffs are part of necessary business adjustments and staff optimization aimed at enhancing organizational efficiency and market competitiveness. The company explained that by reducing positions with high redundancy, it aims to better allocate resources and improve overall organizational efficiency.
