Uber Launches Car-Sharing Ride-Hailing Service in Tokyo
TMTPOST — Uber Japan has announced the launch of a car-sharing ride-hailing service in collaboration with Park24 and Royal Limousine in Tokyo. The service, which will be in a trial phase until the end of November, aims to explore the potential expansion to other regions in Japan based on demand. This new model allows individuals without personal vehicles to participate in ride-hailing services, aiming to increase the number of available drivers. Drivers will sign employment contracts with Royal Limousine. They will be responsible for a car-sharing fee starting at 880 yen per hour (approximately 43 RMB), and will use Uber's app to receive ride requests from passengers.
