Cisco Reportedly Lays Off 300 Employees in Dalian, Offers Severance Packages
Asianfin--Cisco's Dalian branch is laying off around 300 employees, marking the company's second wave of layoffs this year. According to multiple sources, affected employees have been notified, and the severance package includes two options: immediate departure with compensation of “N+7” (where “N” represents years of service) or delayed departure by two months with compensation of “N+5.”
This layoff comes after similar downsizing moves by other tech giants like Intel and IBM. Sources suggest that Cisco may be shifting much of its business operations to India or Japan in the near future.
The layoffs, which impact Cisco's direct employees, signal a broader restructuring strategy for the company as it navigates changes in the global tech landscape.
