Several Chinese Tire Manufacturers Confirm Tire Price Increases Due to Rising Raw Material Costs
Asianfin -- As October progresses, tire manufacturers have begun implementing price increases, with several companies—including Cheng Shin Rubber, Maxxis, Giti Tires, and Linglong Tires—announcing their respective plans to raise prices by an average of 2% to 5%. Reports indicate that over 60 tire companies have issued notifications regarding price hikes.
Representatives from Fengshen Co. confirmed that some tires will see price increases this month, while Sailun Tires announced a price rise effective October 15 for all-steel tires. Both companies attribute the price hikes to the rising costs of raw materials. A Fengshen spokesperson noted that various raw materials have experienced price increases, while a representative from Sailun emphasized that the rising costs of materials such as natural rubber and synthetic rubber are impacting their production costs.
