TMTPOST – BYD has achieved a significant milestone by exceeding Tesla in quarterly revenue for the first time as an electric vehicle manufacturer. In its third-quarter report, BYD announced an operating revenue of 201.1 billion yuan, marking a 24% year-on-year increase. In contrast, Tesla reported total revenue of $25.182 billion (approximately 180 billion yuan) for the third quarter of its fiscal year 2024, as revealed in its earnings report on October 24. This figure represents an 8% growth compared to $23.350 billion in the same quarter last year.
