TMTPOST — OpenAI is enhancing its flagship product, ChatGPT, with a new search feature, escalating its challenge to Google, owned by Alphabet. OpenAI announced on Thursday that the new feature, called ChatGPT Search, will allow chatbot users to search for real-time information on the web, with attribution to news publishers and other sources. Previously, OpenAI launched a prototype called SearchGPT in July, a separate application from ChatGPT available only to a limited number of users.
