Tesla Stock Jumps 13% as Investors Bet on Company Benefiting from Trump’s Re-election
Asianfin – Tesla's stock rose 13% in pre-market trading as investors placed their bets on the company becoming one of the biggest beneficiaries if former President Donald Trump wins a second term in the White House.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been one of Trump's most prominent supporters in this election, contributing over $130 million to Republican causes and actively supporting the party while criticizing Democrats on his social media platform X.
Wedbush Securities analyst Daniel Ives wrote in a report that the biggest winner from a Trump victory would be Tesla and Musk. Ives noted that if the U.S. reduces tax incentives for electric vehicles, Tesla could gain a competitive advantage over other automakers.
