Musk Seeks Top Talent for New Government Efficiency Department
TMTPOST -- Elon Musk is on the hunt for the best and brightest to join the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a new initiative he's leading in partnership with entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy. The department, named after the cryptocurrency Musk is associated with, aims to overhaul government operations by slashing regulations and cutting spending. A post from DOGE's newly created X account on Thursday stated: "We don't need more part-time idea generators. We need super high-IQ small-government revolutionaries willing to work 80+ hours per week on unglamorous cost-cutting." Trump recently tapped Musk and Ramaswamy to lead the unofficial department, signaling their role in shaping the future of government efficiency. Musk, who invested over $100 million in Trump's election efforts, has become a prominent figure within the president-elect's inner circle, even joining key diplomatic calls with world leaders. The call for applicants emphasizes a rigorous selection process, with the duo promising to personally review the top 1% of candidates.
