TMTPOST -- Tesla has reportedly approached SK Hynix and Samsung to discuss the procurement of HBM4 (High Bandwidth Memory), according to a report from the Korea Economic Daily. Both South Korean semiconductor giants are said to be developing samples for Tesla’s evaluation. Unlike companies such as Microsoft, Meta, and Google, which typically request customized chips, Tesla is expected to source standard HBM4 modules. These memory chips will be used to enhance the performance of Tesla’s Dojo supercomputer, a key asset in the company’s AI and autonomous driving advancements.
