TMTPOST – Kunlun Tech has officially unveiled the "Skywork o1" series, an advanced model featuring complex reasoning and critical thinking capabilities. This marks a significant milestone as the first Chinese logic-reasoning AI model under the o1 framework. The Skywork o1 lineup includes three versions: Skywork o1 Open, Skywork o1 Lite, and Skywork o1 Preview. Unlike other attempts to replicate OpenAI's o1 model, Skywork o1 integrates capabilities such as deep thought, planning, and self-reflection directly into its outputs. Kunlun Tech highlights that this open-source model demonstrates a significant improvement in reasoning capabilities on standard evaluation benchmarks compared to conventional models. This enhancement reflects the incorporation of self-reflective reasoning processes, setting a new standard for logical reasoning in AI. Through the o1 replication process, the team successfully transformed a baseline model with initially weak reasoning performance into a niche state-of-the-art (SOTA) performer on benchmark datasets.
