TMTPOST – Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced the launch of the Nova series, a new line of foundational models, which includes six variants: Micro, Lite, Pro, and Premier. The Micro model is a pure text-based model with a 128k context window, while the Lite and Pro models are multimodal with a 300k context window. The Premier model, also multimodal, is designed to handle complex reasoning tasks. Amazon CEO Andy Jassy revealed that the Micro, Lite, and Pro models are now fully available, while the Premier model is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2025. Additionally, Jassy introduced Amazon Nova Canvas, an image generation model, and Amazon Nova Real, a video generation model. The latter will soon include a feature for generating 6-second videos, with plans to extend this capability to videos as long as 2 minutes in the coming months. AWS CEO Matt Garman also announced the simultaneous launch of the Amazon Bedrock multi-agent collaboration feature. This new function enables Amazon Bedrock agents to manage complex workflows, coordinating multiple agents to ensure effective collaboration. "Multiple agents return information and can coordinate to handle tasks, ensuring efficient collaboration among all agents," Garman explained.
