Vietnam Orders Temu to Halt Operations Over Missed Registration Deadline
TMTPOST -- Chinese e-commerce platform Temu has been ordered to suspend its activities in Vietnam after failing to meet a government-imposed deadline for business registration by the end of November, according to Vietnamese state media reports on Thursday. Owned by Chinese online retail giant PDD Holdings, Temu launched its services in Vietnam in October. However, the platform was required to complete formal registration with Vietnamese authorities. Failure to comply with the mandate has prompted warnings that access to Temu’s internet domains and apps could be blocked in the country.
