TMTPOST -- Shenzhen on Wednesday announed to issue "training vouchers" to reduce the costs associated with AI model research and development, as part of the efforts to establish the city as a leader in artificial intelligence (AI). Each year, Shenzhen will allocate up to 500 million yuan in these vouchers to support the training and development of AI models. The city will provide up to 10 million yuan in funding to enterprises, universities, and research institutions that rent smart computing power for large model training, covering up to 50% of the service contract value. For startups, the funding proportion will be increased to 60%.
