TMTPOST -- The global high-resolution oceanic AI model "Langya" 1.0 has been officially released, developed by the Institute of Oceanology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. "Langya" is a new-generation artificial intelligence model designed for forecasting ocean state variables. The model integrates advanced AI algorithms with specialized ocean science knowledge, and the 1.0 version is capable of providing high-precision medium-to-short-term forecasts for global ocean state variables. It can predict ocean temperature, salinity, currents, and other variables for the next 1 to 7 days, with a spatial resolution of 1/12° and a temporal resolution of 24 hours. This development significantly enhances the accuracy and reliability of global ocean forecasting.
