TMTPOST -- TSMC has commenced setting up a 2nm (N2) pilot production line at its Hsinchu Baoshan Fab 20 facility this quarter. Industry sources reveal that the line’s initial monthly production capacity is expected to range between 3,000 and 3,500 wafers. Projections indicate that with contributions from the Kaohsiung Fab 22 facility, TSMC’s total 2nm monthly production capacity could exceed 50,000 wafers by the end of 2025. By the end of 2026, this capacity is anticipated to reach 120,000 to 130,000 wafers per month, driven by strong demand from major clients.
