China Faces AI Talent Shortage of 4 Million by 2030, McKinsey Reports
TMTPOST – A recent report from McKinsey says that by 2030, China's demand for AI professionals is expected to reach 6 million, with a potential talent shortfall of 4 million. The growing adoption of artificial intelligence agents (AI Agents) is poised to play a pivotal role in alleviating this shortage. These AI Agents, designed to handle repetitive and labor-intensive tasks, will free up human employees to focus on more creative and strategic work. This shift is anticipated to redefine workplace roles and facilitate skill upgrades across industries. PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), one of the world's Big Four accounting firms, projects that by 2025, AI Agents could more than double the capacity of the existing workforce, significantly enhancing productivity and efficiency.
