TMTPOST -- Xiaohongshu has seen a dramatic increase in daily active users in the U.S., reaching approximately 3.4 million on Monday, January 13, according to data from analytics firm Similarweb. This represents a more than tenfold rise from just 700,000 the previous Sunday, and an even larger jump from 300,000 a week earlier. The surge is attributed to the imminent TikTok ban in the U.S., with many users claiming to be "TikTok refugees" flocking to the platform. In addition, data shows that Lemon8, another social platform owned by ByteDance, saw its daily active users in the U.S. grow to 1.7 million on Monday, up from around 1.1 million in previous weeks. Meanwhile, TikTok’s daily active users in the U.S. dropped by 2.1% week-on-week, bringing the total to around 82.2 million.
