Zhao Ming Steps Down as Honor CEO
TMTPOST – Following widespread speculation in the market about leadership changes at Honor, the company officially announced today that Zhao Ming has resigned from his position as CEO due to health reasons. The board of directors has accepted Zhao's resignation and appointed Li Jian as the new CEO, according to an internal notice from Honor Terminal Co., Ltd.
Li, often referred to as a "Huawei veteran," brings extensive experience in strategic management and global operations. Joining Huawei in 2001, Li served on the company’s supervisory board starting in 2017, where he played a key role in major reforms and strategic initiatives. Known for his leadership during critical campaigns, Li’s contributions were pivotal in shaping Huawei’s success.
In 2021, Li joined the restructured Honor and has since held several key positions, including core management team member, vice chairman, board director, and head of human resources. His appointment as CEO reflects his strong track record and strategic vision.
