TMTPOST -- Tesla has recently updated several job listings related to the development of its Optimus humanoid robot at its Fremont, California factory, including key roles such as manufacturing engineers, production managers, and process supervisors. This move signals that Tesla is accelerating the mass production of the Optimus robot.
CEO Elon Musk has previously stated that the Optimus humanoid robot holds enormous commercial potential and could generate over $10 trillion in long-term revenue, potentially surpassing Tesla's automotive business to become the company’s primary source of income.
Optimus is a multifunctional humanoid robot being developed by Tesla. According to previous posts by Tesla on social media, Optimus already shows potential for use in factory environments, and the robot may expand into several other areas such as home services and healthcare in the future.
As part of Tesla's mass production plan, the company intends to produce 10,000 Optimus robots in 2025, expanding production capacity to 1,000 units per month. By 2026, the monthly output is projected to reach 10,000 units, and by 2027, it is expected to further increase to 100,000 units per month.
