The model enables real-time, interactive dialogue between healthcare professionals and the AI system, marking a major leap in medical AI applications for pathology. Built using Ruijin Hospital’s extensive clinical data and vast medical expertise, RuiPath covers the most prevalent cancer types that account for 90% of cancer diagnoses in China annually. With its deep knowledge base in sub-specialty cancer diagnosis, RuiPath delivers expert-level knowledge through Q&A sessions, significantly enhancing the quality and speed of diagnostics. Traditionally, diagnosing a tissue sample under a microscope could take 5 to 10 minutes. However, with RuiPath's AI-powered interactive slide review, the process now takes just seconds per slide, drastically improving diagnostic efficiency and reducing wait times for patients. The development of RuiPath was supported by Huawei’s DCS AI solutions, which played a crucial role in optimizing training and fine-tuning processes. The key component, ModelEngine, enhances the efficiency of model training, fine-tuning, and deployment, leading to lower operational costs and quicker time-to-market for the technology.
