TMTPOST — TikTok and its lighter version TikTok Lite, both owned by ByteDance, have surpassed Facebook in monthly active users (MAU) in South Korea, according to data released by South Korean data service provider "IGAWorks Mobile Index". TikTok's MAU reached 4.89851 million, while TikTok Lite had 4.791235 million MAUs. Combined, the two TikTok platforms outnumber Facebook's MAU of 8.618065 million, though they still fall short of Instagram's user numbers.
