Ford to Cut Stock Bonuses for About 50% of Mid-Level Managers
TMTPOST -- Ford Motor Company is set to withhold stock bonuses for some of its mid-level managers this year, in what is seen internally as the latest effort by CEO Jim Farley to reduce the company’s bloated costs. Sources familiar with the matter revealed that approximately 1,650 of the company’s 3,300 global mid-level managers will not receive their stock bonuses. Typically, stock rewards are distributed in March, but senior executives have informed managers that they will have the discretion to decide which half of the mid-level managers will receive bonuses. Ford explained that this change is designed to motivate employees to improve their performance.
