Exclusive: Douyin Tests AI Avatar Feature With ByteDance's Coze Platform
TMTPOST -- ByteDance's AI platform Coze has been integrated with Douyin (the Chinese version of TikTok), allowing content creators to generate and launch AI avatars.
These AI avatars, once created on the Coze platform, can be used to interact with users during live streams. The feature is currently undergoing targeted internal testing on Douyin.
Previously, ByteDance experimented with AI avatar creation on its Doubao app, but Coze offers more advanced customization options. Creators can design AI avatars with greater complexity, such as integrating specific documents and data sources to answer user queries.
The platform also supports more sophisticated features like workflow integration and large language models, enabling use cases like travel planning and report analysis.
This move signals ByteDance's ongoing efforts to explore AI-driven content creation and enhance user engagement on Douyin with personalized, interactive AI avatars.
