OpenAI Launches AI Agent "Operator" in Multiple Regions
TMTPOST – OpenAI announced on Friday that it is rolling out its AI agent, dubbed "Operator," to ChatGPT Pro users in Australia, Brazil, Canada, India, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and other regions. The company stated that Operator will be available in most areas where ChatGPT is supported, with the exception of the European Union, Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein, and Iceland. First introduced in the United States in January this year, Operator is one of several "AI broker" tools on the market. It is designed to perform tasks on behalf of users based on their instructions, such as booking tickets, making restaurant reservations, submitting expense reports, or shopping on e-commerce websites. The expansion marks a significant step in OpenAI’s efforts to broaden the reach of its advanced AI capabilities, offering Pro subscribers a tool to automate a variety of everyday activities. Further updates on availability in the excluded regions are expected as the company continues its global rollout.
