TMTPOST --  Alibaba Qwen team announced the release of their new reasoning model, QwQ, via social media. Powered by the QWQ-MAX-PREVIEW, QwQ is based on Qwen2.5-Max and is designed to offer deep reasoning capabilities. Similar to DeepSeek R1 and Kimi’s reasoning models, QwQ supports both deep thinking and internet search functions, while showcasing a complete thought chain. The Qwen team also revealed that the official version of QWQ-MAX is set to launch soon, accompanied by Android and iOS applications. Additionally, smaller models, such as QwQ-32B, will be available for deployment on local devices.
