TMTPOST – In response to customer concerns about geopolitical risks, Hesai Technology, China’s largest lidar (optical radar) sensor manufacturer, plans to build a factory overseas next year. Andrew Fan, the company’s Chief Financial Officer, stated that in addition to its existing factory in China, Hesai is exploring options for production lines abroad to “avoid geopolitical and tariff-related risks.” He emphasized that customers seeking to diversify their risks find this move to be a smart approach, and the company’s diversified supply chain will also help mitigate potential logistics disruptions.
