China's State Post Bureau Investigates Yunda Express Over Safety Management Failures
TMTPOST -- China's State Post Bureau (SPB) announced on Wednesday that it has initiated an investigation into Yunda Express due to significant safety management lapses in its handling of contracted customers. These loopholes allowed fraudulent promotional materials to be distributed through its delivery network, leading to substantial financial losses for victims. The probe was prompted by incidents involving certain Yunda Express franchisees, who were found to have used the company's courier services to circulate scam-related promotional materials. This resulted in considerable harm to victims, as stated in a notice published on the SPB's official website. "Shanghai Yunda Express Co has failed to effectively oversee its franchisees and is accountable for not implementing the required unified safety assurance measures," the SPB said. The bureau emphasized that the investigation was launched in accordance with legal procedures.
