NatWest Partners with OpenAI to Enhance Digital Assistants and Customer Support
TMTPOST – NatWest Group has announced a partnership with OpenAI to enhance its digital assistant and customer support processes, marking the first collaboration of its kind for a UK bank. As part of its AI-driven strategy, NatWest aims to improve customer experience, reduce costs, and combat financial fraud, a growing concern in the industry. The bank is currently exploring over 275 AI projects, including enhancing its customer chatbot, Cora, and its employee virtual assistant, AskArchie, using OpenAI's advanced technology. One key initiative focuses on fraud prevention. Currently, most customers report suspicious activity via phone calls, but NatWest hopes to leverage generative AI to encourage digital fraud reporting, streamlining detection and response efforts.
