Chinese Suppliers Taunt Tariffs With Nike, Lululemon Deals on TikTok
TMTPOST -- Chinese influencers are taking to TikTok to sidestep Trump-era tariffs, urging U.S. consumers to buy directly from factories in China — and boasting big-name clients in the process. Flooding American feeds, these videos often feature influencers inside Chinese manufacturing facilities claiming to produce goods for major U.S. brands like Nike and Lululemon. Their pitch: cut out the middleman and bypass the tariffs by purchasing straight from the source. Many posts include links and contact details for direct orders. “Why don’t you just contact us and buy from us? You won’t believe the prices we give you,” one influencer selling designer handbags says in her video. In another, TikTok creator @LunaSourcingChina stands outside a factory she claims manufactures Lululemon leggings for just $5 to $6 — a steep contrast to the $100+ price tags seen in the U.S. “The material and craftsmanship are basically the same,” she says.
