Tesla's Cybertruck Heads to Saudi Arabia Amid Sluggish Sales at Home
TMTPOST -- Tesla is bringing its Cybertruck to Saudi Arabia, expanding its reach beyond North America for the first time as the company tries to reignite interest in the polarizing, stainless steel-clad electric pickup.
The EV maker announced this month that the Cybertruck will be available in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar, with deliveries expected to begin in "late 2025," according to Tesla’s website.
The expansion comes as Cybertruck sales in the U.S. have struggled to gain momentum, despite Elon Musk branding it as an "apocalypse-proof" vehicle. Its debut in the Gulf region—where EV adoption remains limited and charging infrastructure is sparse—marks a bold bet on emerging demand in frontier electric vehicle markets.
