Shein to Open Major Vietnam Warehouse in Move to Mitigate U.S.-China Trade Risks
TMTPOST -- Fast-fashion giant Shein is set to establish a large warehouse in Vietnam, marking its first such facility in the country, in a strategic shift aimed at reducing exposure to ongoing U.S.-China trade uncertainties, according to two people familiar with the matter. The online retailer, originally founded in China and known for offering budget items like $5 bike shorts and $18 sundresses, has signed a deal to lease nearly 15 hectares of industrial land near Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s main commercial hub, the sources said. They declined to be named as the details have not been publicly disclosed.
