Singapore Airlines Sees Surge in Travel to China
TMTPOST -- Singapore Airlines has experienced a sharp increase in inbound travel to China in recent months, though outbound demand from China has yet to return to pre-pandemic levels, Chief Commercial Officer Lee Lik Hsin said on Friday. “We have seen quite a surge in inbound travel into China in the last six months or so,” Lee told reporters during a news briefing following the release of the airline’s annual results. He noted that load factors — the percentage of seats sold — on flights to China have improved significantly, rising to the 80% range from the 70% range a year ago.
