U.S. Auto Suppliers Urge Swift Action on China’s Rare Earth Export Curbs
TMTPOST -- A leading U.S. auto parts industry group is calling for urgent government intervention to address China’s tightening restrictions on rare earth and critical mineral exports, warning that the measures could soon disrupt automotive supply chains. MEMA – The Vehicle Suppliers Association – said on Wednesday that parts manufacturers are facing “serious, real-time risks” as access to key materials becomes increasingly constrained. “The situation remains unresolved and the level of concern remains very high,” MEMA said in a statement. “Immediate and decisive action is needed to prevent widespread disruption and economic fallout across the vehicle supplier sector.”
