That means the next wave of software releases will be labeled iOS 26 for iPhones, macOS Tahoe 26 for Macs, iPadOS 26 for iPads, watchOS 26 for Apple Watches, tvOS 26 for Apple TV, and visionOS 26 for Vision Pro. Going forward, all platforms will increase their version numbers in unison each year, simplifying the process of identifying whether a device is running the latest software.
