Volvo Cars Sales Drop 12% in June as EV Deliveries Slide 26%
TMTPOST -- Volvo Cars reported a 12% year-on-year decline in June sales, marking its fourth consecutive monthly drop as the automaker grapples with trade tensions and softening demand for electric vehicles.
The Sweden-based carmaker, majority-owned by China’s Geely, said Wednesday it delivered 62,858 vehicles last month. Sales of fully electric models slumped 26% from a year ago, underscoring growing headwinds in the global EV market.
