Anta Group Fires 74 Employees, Refers 46 Individuals to Authorities in Sweeping Anti-Corruption Drive
TMTPOST — Anta Group has stepped up its anti-corruption campaign this year, targeting high-risk areas through internal audits, inspections, and compliance reviews, according to an announcement posted on the company’s official “Clean Anta” WeChat account.
As of August 2025, 74 employees have been dismissed for serious misconduct that violated the group’s red-line policies. In addition, 46 individuals — including 21 internal staff and 25 external parties — were referred to judicial authorities for suspected criminal offenses. Among them were one executive at the president level, 14 directors, and four managers. The company also pursued legal action against three former employees for crimes committed during their tenure.
Anta said it had also terminated contracts with 45 suppliers and partners found guilty of fraudulent practices, with the total value of the cases involving illegal activities reaching around 30 million yuan (USD 4.1 million).
Lai Shixian, executive director and co-CEO of Anta Group, stressed that the company has established a “career accountability mechanism” to ensure that corruption is punished regardless of whether the employee is still with the company. “Any misconduct committed during employment will be subject to investigation and legal consequences. Corruption will have no place to hide,” Lai said.
