China’s Antitrust Regulator Summons Huolala Over Compliance Issues
TMTPOST -- China’s State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) recently summoned Huolala, a leading freight platform, for regulatory talks.
The authority required the company to strictly abide by the Anti-Monopoly Law of the People’s Republic of China, fulfill its primary responsibilities for antitrust compliance, and promptly rectify its business practices.
SAMR stressed that Huolala must ensure fair participation in market competition, safeguard the lawful rights and interests of truck drivers, consumers, and other stakeholders, and promote fairness, transparency, and impartiality in platform rules and algorithms. The move is aimed at fostering standardized and healthy development across the sector.
